A Note From Our Pastor
It's hard to believe but we are into August., the last month before school starts. Everyone is trying to get that last trip in or trying to settle back in to a routine for when school starts. July was a busy month with camps and Ladies Retreat being a big part of the month. Lives were changed by the power of His Spirit and memories were made. We also had our national Youth event, North American Youth Congress. Over 33,000 people gathered at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to worship and hear powerful preaching. I would encourage you to look up #NAYC 2017 on YouTube. You can watch the evening messages and most of the music. It was powerful! Let's help the youth keep the fire burning.
This month at Life Church, Andrew McCool will be teaching and preaching. Come out and support him and see what God is doing. Also our Children service, ”Glow in the Dark” will be on August 20th! The children from Detroit Hope Center will be joining us in the 11:10am service. We will have some give a ways, give away school supplies and a lot of fun. Come and support our children!
I want to challenge you, as we continue with the Wake Up portion of our theme, that we if we are not involved that we would wake up to helping someone find their relationship with Jesus. We can make a difference in our world. I want to be bold with my Faith! What is stopping you from talking to someone about Jesus?
Enjoy the rest of summer! Get some rest if possible and let's do amazing things for the Kingdom of God. Peter reminded us that: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10 (KJV)
You have been chosen for this time and this place! What will you accomplish while you are here? You are chosen because you have obtained mercy. Don't take for granted what God has done for you.
We will change our world as we work together,
