A Note From Our Pastor
April is an awesome month! It is when we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection this year. I am thankful that He arose victorious! There is an empty tomb that proves He is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Don’t take for granted what Jesus has done for you. Live every moment as He would have you live.
This month is also when we, hopefully, get spring into gear. It is interesting watching the flowers begin bloom in the flower beds of our new home. Since they were planted before we moved in we are wondering what they will look like. If I may reach for a spiritual comparison, what do the blooms in your life say to others? Are they trying to guess what is budding in your life? The law of sowing and reaping is mentioned throughout scripture. What ever you plant, will produce a harvest. Paul said in his letter to Galatians 6:8 “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Let’s plant (sow) to the Spirit. I’m not sure who to give credit to for this because it is credited to many, so I will credit Ralph Waldo Emerson who seems to have been the first to say it.
Sow a thought and you reap an action; sow an act and you reap a habit;
sow a habit and you reap a character; sow a character and you reap a destiny.
What thoughts you think will ultimately choose your destiny. With that in mind, read Philippians 4:8.
This month we have a special treat, Bishop McCool will be teaching in the Sunday Morning class and you do NOT want to miss it! I am looking forward to what God is doing here at our churches.
