A Note From Our Pastor
This is the month we celebrate the birth of Christ. I realize that December is probably not the time He was born, nonetheless the world pauses to recognize the day that changed history. I want to remind you that Christmas is not just about a manger, but it is about what He came to accomplish by coming in human form. This season remember why He came, He came to “seek and save that which was lost”.
In this time of gift giving, take time to remember that Jesus is the greatest gift of all! He came so that we could have life and live life abundantly. Don’t get so caught up in the business of this season that you don’t take time to reflect on this child who was prophesied to be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 KJV)
We are wrapping up our Illuminate theme this month and will be launching our 2018 theme, “I Love My Church”. We will be teaching and talking about the reasons we love our church. Look for the new logo to be out for our New Year’s Eve service.
The service schedule for the upcoming holidays are:
Christmas Eve: 10:00AM Unity Service at AFT
New Years Eve: Regular schedule at both churches, with communion
On New Years Eve, Sis Kris and I will host our annual New Year’s Eve get together beginning at 8:00PM. Let us know if you are interested in going and we will get you the address!
This year has had it’s ups and downs, but I am grateful for God’s mercy. We will celebrate our church throughout 2018! My God continue to bless you in this coming year.
Here’s to a great 2018!
